GRG Health captured real-world clinical insights from 50 interventional cardiologists and vascular radiologists, analyzing 926 co-registered IVUS–OCT imaging frames across interventional cardiology and radiology settings. The study revealed critical gaps in traditional intravascular imaging, where standalone IVUS or OCT often fail to provide a complete picture of plaque morphology and vessel structure.
Clinicians highlighted the growing need for greater diagnostic clarity, improved plaque characterization, and streamlined workflows during coronary interventions. By combining the depth penetration of IVUS with the high-resolution surface detail of OCT, hybrid imaging enabled clearer interpretation of complex plaques and improved confidence in treatment planning. These insights are helping MedTech innovators refine imaging technology, enhance clinical usability, and advance precision-driven cardiovascular care.
